Step into the heart of Tanzanian creativity with the Made in Tanzania Experience, a unique shopping and cultural journey in Moshi. This isn’t just about buying souvenirs; it’s about creating your own piece of Tanzania to take home.
We’ll begin with a visit to African fabric shops, where you can choose from vibrant kitenge and khanga textiles. Your guide will help you navigate colors, patterns, and meanings behind the designs. Next, we’ll stop by a local tailor workshop, where you’ll discuss your ideas whether it’s a shirt, dress, skirt, or outfit and place your order. The tailor will have it ready in 2–3 days, custom-made just for you.
From there, we’ll continue to Moshi’s souvenir market, where you’ll meet artisans, explore crafts, and learn about Tanzanite, Tanzania’s rare blue gemstone. If you’d like, you can also purchase authentic Tanzanite directly from certified sellers.
The tour ends with a relaxing break at a local coffee shop, where you can enjoy freshly brewed Tanzanian coffee and reflect on your Moshi shopping adventure.
